Protostriker M is an old school Shooter and a throwback to the days of 8-bit gaming. Get powered up, destroy the aliens and save the galaxy!
Protostriker M is my first original game. Up until now I've been honing my programming skills by writing various simple clones. The game was meant to be fairly simple so that I would be able to finish it in a reasonable amount of time.
Since I started to learn programming, I've been excited to try and create a game that looked, played, and sounded like the first video games that I ever laid eyes on, NES games. I'm still fascinated by them. I think I was pretty successful in that as I stuck pretty close to the NES technical limitations, using them as a soft restriction rather than obsessing over them.
I learned a ton while making this game and I hope you enjoy it!

Protostriker M est un shooter à l'ancienne et un retour à l'époque des jeux 8-bit. Attrapez les powered up, détruisez les aliens et sauvez la galaxie !
Protostriker M est mon premier jeu original. Jusqu'à présent j'ai perfectionné mes compétences en programmation en écrivant quelques simples clones.
Ce jeu a été conçu de manière assez simple pour que je sois capable de le finir dans un laps de temps raisonnable.
Depuis que j'ai commencé à apprendre la programmation, je suis heureux d'avoir tenté et conçu un jeu qui ressemble, se joue, et sonne comme les premiers jeux vidéos sur lesquels j'ai posé les yeux, les jeux NES. Je suis toujours fasciné par eux.
Je pense avoir réussi ce challenge du fait de m'être astreint à me tenir très proche des limites techniques de la NES, les utilisant comme une restriction douce plutôt que d'en faire une obsession.
J'en ai appris une tonne en concevant ce jeu et j'espère qu'il vous plaira !
